In Math you will see these categories:
- Math Review - Number Sense
Math Review - Geometry
Math Review - Fractions/Decimals/Percents
Math Review - Algebra
- These categories are the typical categories on our weekly math review quizzes. It is a snapshot descriptor of past learning targets. Students may not see every category on each week’s quiz. They will be scored with a 4-3-2-1 scale and will make up 20% of the weight in the gradebook’s estimated letter grade.
- 6th Grade Standards
- These are the state standards (either in whole or broken into smaller pieces) that we are working toward. This category includes all the quizzes and tests that are related to the topics at-hand in the current semester. They will be scored with a 4-3-2-1 scale. For each standard, there will be a quiz score and a test score. These make up 80% of the weight in the gradebook’s estimated letter grade.
- Students with a 1 or a 2 for a standard are expected to get some extra help or do some extra learning so that they can re-assess in these standards and perform better. Students who get a 3 can choose to revise their work and go for a 4.
